I lived in Essex junction, Vt off pearl street close to 5 corner and colchester.

 

Have a friend who works at J&B International in Colchester. His father owns the place.

 

Do you or your friend knows Dan? He Is by in Milton border line to Colchester, and runs a CDL training company? That's where I got my CDL and Dan was a great man.

 

Nope, don't know him. Love Vermont though!!!

 

Ah ok, Dan has been driving for 30+ yeas before settling down in VT and starting his own CDL school. If you ever pass by there and want to stop he's a great guy!

I don't like VT so much, it's why I moved to Chicago LOL, but next year (2016) I am planning on moving to FL.

 

Who do you get your loads from? Just trying to figure this OO stuff out before I buy our truck.

 

Talked to a Landstar agent this morning. There was about 12 of us waiting to load crane mats. All their equipment was frozen at below zero. Took them 6 hours to get a loader to run.

Anyways. I end up talking to him for a long time. A whole bunch of agents had the same loads. He was offering $1,600 and the lowest was $1,300. He said he was making $50 on each load and doing at least 10 loads a day and this will go on for months. He pretty much does nothing. It's strap and go.

 

He is leased to Mercer. We get our loads through our carrier.

 

Landstar is by far one of the better ones out there. He just wanted to pad his pocket a little more. No harm done. Keep rolling!!!
