I've had 3 trucks from western, none of em had chains. and I call in every storm and take it off. It's my record im not messing it up. At the end of the day I'm not saving lives so ill just stay home.

In the end, it is really your call if you deem the road unsafe to travel. If your dispatcher forces you to do so, call safety.
Every dispatcher is different. Some will push push you, and some will push you off a cliff. Talk about "magically" putting you on a 2000 mile run if you run your currently load through the storm. Rookies and newbies will fall for this. All the old schoolers know this is a joke -
I can see wanting to sit and wait it out but if you got chains use them. I have had to a couple times this year already. All i know is if the tires aren't turning then i'm not making money and not supporting my family.
