Do you get any quality of sleep out in the road . Sleeping in your sleeper next to other idling trucks far away from home.I know you get your 10 hours off but that doesn't mean you sleep through it or do you sleep at motels out in the road? Thank you and I appreciate all your answers.

I sleep better in my truck than I do at home, I love that big Detroit rocking me to sleep. I only stay in hotels when my truck is broke but I always prefer the sleeper.

I never took comfort items with me so I did not have a TV. I would sometimes ask my fleet manager if I could do a 34 hour reset and I would check into a hotel and watch things like the super bowl or a major college bowl game. A hotel is a luxury item for most truckers. Over time you will get conditioned to the moving of the vehicle and the noise.

I use that and memory foam but in trk it would be only the matress pad .either way you'll sleep like a baby and won't wake to backaches.far as noisy trks, didn't bother me.

I have a Serta mattress in the truck sandwiched between two memory foam pads. Sleep fantastic.

My truck is also very well insulated so the noise of others is really a non-issue.

Straight Stacks, FLYMIKEXL and pattyj Thank this.

Hubby bought me a denver mattress. Slept better on that then at home. Got a serta the boss bought in this one.

If the noise keeps you awake you're not working hard enough. Lol.

This new truck has a serta, but I still put down my old trusty pads. Felt wrong to throw them out.

Many times i can be found curled up in a ball on a reclined drivers seat during a 4 hour 10 hour break.
