As I suspected, dispatch has more or less squandered the last two business days and is saying there is no freight in CA.

Out of all places in North America, the one I dread the most is BaltimoreMD. Don't get me wrong, if you have the money, I will go back to Hell. But in my line of work, there is no easy way for me to get to Baltimore. Well, the easiest way is up I95 though DC. But every time someone pays me the money I want to ake a load to Baltimore, I'm either, 90 ft long or longer, PLUS 100000lbs, PLUS 14 tall and 11 ft wide. Then it's a day playing in traffic up and down 68. Once, when they. Had road construction in Cumberland, they routed me across i70 to US30 back to i70.
I can cut through the woods to dodge AustinTX. I can run in at night in NYC and other big cities. I cannot find an easier way in to Baltimore. I don't mind mountain climbing, been through the Rockies and the Canadian Rockies a thousand time. Everything about Baltimore sucks. Parking, traffic, roads, hills, weigh stations. I know there are worse rads and worse areas, but Baltimore shouldn't be that difficult. I hate it. Hate it worst than taking a big load through NYC and Pittsburgh.JPenn, 25(2)+2, DustyRoad and 1 other person Thank this. -

I volunteered to be the backup to the backup spotter.
Guess who is spotting at 4 am tomorrow and gets to check all the trailers in 2 degree weather.
Idiot. -
I accepted to deliver Harleys from PA all over mid/Northeast and hated it. The extra money wasnt worth it. Like 8 stops with arrogant shop owners and lots of waiting. Sucked
-
Has anything good ever come from a load delivering to San Diego?
-
Well I was talking to my boss about it today. Turns out he has to go up there two weeks before I do and he admitted that he is dreading it as well. Probably for other reasons.
