Depends on the material rating. Paint doesn't need placard or Bic lighters even if there was a pallet. But 1 lb of radioactive quantifies as reportable. Hauled a train w/ fireworks on the lead box, corrosive in the second box & compressed gas containers in the 3rd. Felt like a bomb on wheels.
Kids, could I get fired for not getting endorsements ?

That amount thing can get you into trouble. Many years ago in my hometown a guy was loading up a pickup with 2 drums of the acid used to clean the cement mixers. I don't remember the exact numbers today but I asked him if he was aware that pickup has to have a placards on it? The reply was its not enough. I said you better look it up. Turns out it was and they took a drum off. The fines are huge if you get caught. This hazmat thing even applies to the traditional none commercial vehicles. Even an automobile. If there is a reportable amount of hazmat on the vehicle you must have it placarded and the driver must have the hazmat endorsement on their CDL.
ajohnson and Giuseppe Ventolucci Thank this. -
Bad info, I transport paint all day every day. Latex paint is non hazard, you can have a whole truckload and it dosent matter. But oil based paint is flamable. It says so right on he can or bucket. It must have hazmat paperwork and be labeled properly and secured properly. Over 1000 lbs and you need flamible liquid plackards. No matter how it is packagedLast edited: Jan 19, 2016
Giuseppe Ventolucci, okiedokie and White_Knuckle_Newbie Thank this. -
Are the tests on here same as the DMV ? If so I been getting 100%
Giuseppe Ventolucci and Moose1958 Thank this. -
Their not the same but truth be told in most places DMV pulls a test with questions from a large database. So every test at the DMV is different. I suspect most of these questions are very similar to the questions in the DMV database.Giuseppe Ventolucci and doglover44 Thank this.

In IL they were very similar.Giuseppe Ventolucci Thanks this.

Fellow brothers and sisters in the "truckinghood", it is a pleasure for me to inform you all, that this guy has passed his endorsements.
I passed Tankers with flying colors. Doubles I had to take twice. I didn't study as much as I would've liked but enough to be confident that I could pass and I did.
I wanna thank whoever put the quizzes on here for all of us to practice. It definitely helped me a LOT !!
Not all questions are exactly the same, but very similar.
Now I hope my employer can give me that juicy $2,000 sign on bonus attached to my permanent position contract.drvrtech77, MidWest_MacDaddy, ajohnson and 1 other person Thank this. -

You answered your own question. Bring your dispatcher or direct supervisor in the loop that the clock is ticking on you and you need to get some study time in if you truly can't squeeze it in. There are tests on this board and your already here!Giuseppe Ventolucci Thanks this.
