As a safety to yourself, and those others of us on the road, you NEED to disclose the Rx's you 'were' taking, when how where and why. If you are not currently taking them, no harm; no foul. No disrespect at all, man. Just truths on trucking. My two cents. If you are NOT on any Rx's, they will see that via the follicle tests~yet can also see what you HAD been prescribed in years past, and with legal physician, should be a non-issue.
ps: the only "surprises" are the ones we self-bestow. Be honest; move forward.TB John Thanks this. -
Well I was on a anti depressants since my wife's death about a year ago . I feel fine now . Iv been a truck driver all my life . Just think it's time to move on with my life I like TMC a lot just wanted to see if they hair tested ? Don't wana tell them I was on the meds 4 months ago if I don't have to .

Regardless of the way its done the fact is as a trucker you are going to be tested at some point. Just to let you know the FMCSA does not recognize hair testing at this point. However some companies do test hair. My advice is the get all your prescriptions listed and make sure none of them are on the prohibited list. Then if you do have a positive you can give the MRO all this information when they call you. Its scary when you get that call, but the MRO is doing their job when they contact you. Just tell them the truth and be prepared to give the MRO a signed OK to contact your doctor or pharmacy to verify those prescriptions. This happened to a guy I know.

If it was only an antidepressant it won't matter.
Now, if you consider crack to be an antidepressant, that's another story.bottomdumpin, Road Jouster, G13Tomcat and 1 other person Thank this. -
LMAO but true just the same.G13Tomcat Thanks this.

If you do't disclose and something registers, you will probably be given the opportunity to prove you had/have the prescription. Personal experience for me, the hair test went that far back. Something I hadn't thought about in a while.
