I live on Long Island also (Mount Sinai) when I was looking for regional work based out of LI I found GSN Trucking out of Ronkonkoma and that was about it. There is a flatbed company that runs out of Grumman in calverton that is always hiring, tri-state area work I think its called Estension Logistics. I currently drive for Clare Rose (Budweiser) but would do anything for a regional home every weekend gig!
crazeydude and IRISH MAN Thank this. -
Yeah, My good friend is the dispatcher for GSN, and she said they are hiring in March. I cant wait that long. Its funny you said clare rose, I know the family well. Nickie is one of the daughters, and I know her husband and her, small world. The company called estension logistics put a hiring freeze. Im still lokking at thsoe five companys and see if someone knows anything about them. I like both these companies the best.
1. kreilkamp and 2. JR schugel why? both people I talked to were drivers at one time, and I know their alot of #### head companies that want their people tosay anything to us? so Im very careful? Thank you for the info and best of luck.

You want to drive OTR and live on LI, especially up west (I'm from Eastern Suffolk, anything west of Shirley is practically Queens )? Good luck with parking the rig somewhere. I'd suggest a delivery gig, fuel hauler, LTL, dump/trash or something similar. More home time, likely more money paid hourly, etc. Are you driving for a living now?
crazeydude Thanks this.
