Walmart here I come!

Well got an update: walmart finally got ahold of my current employer and they received information back. Recruiter let me know they are approving my packet and sending to hiring team. What's crazy is now my current employer is wanting me to stay offering a management position..Geez

 

Well, got my conditional offer for Porterville!!!

Hello all, my 1st reply, I've been reading this post for a few weeks now. I'm very impressed with the brotherhood of my fellow truckers here. I just applied this am to Beaver Dam, WI. 25 yrs OTR, no accidents or tickets. I know it's tough to get in, and many great drivers are denied, so I'll just hope for the best. Than you to all who have taken time to answer questions & give positive support to your fellow man.

 

Finished my 3 day with trainer lots of paper work and not shortage of loads have worked to my 14 hours everyday I finally found my home

 

The people are great, made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. Your going to love Sidney. Just do the pretrip trip like you would if you were he just getting your CDL. He got me for not checking DVIR book, fuel caps and making sure the license plate is on tight. Relax and have fun.

This may not be the perfect job, as there is no such thing. However, I honestly feel that it is as close as you will come in truck driving. Especially with the atmosphere and how much respect the drivers are treated with. Other companies should learn from Walmart, in this very important respect.
