Is there a standard fuel tank capacity or average fuel tank capacity per truck manufacturer? I am looking to try and determine a range of fuel tank capacity by truck make and I am only able to find the specs for International.

50-300. I'd wager most OTR trucks are around 200 +/-

And then there is the difference between tank capacity and usable capacity.
It's not a manufacturer thing but how the truck is speced. -
The pick up in not on the bottom of the tank . There will be fuel left you can not use. Dirt and water will settle to the bottom , you do not want that going in to the fuel pump.

And tank size is based on range wanted. A yard jockey may only have a 30 gal tank. One of the mail contractors in the past had 300 gal tanks per side (600 total) . Owner did not want to buy fuel in route ! Tanks ran from the steers all way back to the drives .

All depends on how the truck was ordered. Though just hit up a junk yard for different size tanks. Took me 8 hours to swap from dual 100 to dual 150.
Peterbilt makes a 200 gal tank. I think it's 28 inch diameterDave_in_AZ Thanks this.
