Well fortunately(depending on perspective) my appt isnt until 1300, requested 1000(thought this was reasonable to allow for weather and wound up shut down at 1730) and its 168 miles away.
Place said a bunch of guys were trying to get in today to avoid it all. Can arrive early , they will take me if they can. So maybe the later appt will allow this thing to pass here and let the road crews work their magicamericanmadetrucker and 91B20H8 Thank this. -

I'm home 10 of last 11 nights.
Let me pose a question.
If Schneider driver A arrives at a customer and is told the said shipment has already been shipped on another carrier this morning and driver A calls in and is taken off the load shouldn't driver B who has booked the exact same load shipment number for the exact same load be sent a message sometime in the 7 hours between driver A arriving and Driver B arriving that the load has cancelled.
I was the 3rd driver to arrive for 1 load today that had already been shipped only to be told by Schneider that the load was available still and to go back inside and do le check. Then CS after 45 minutes decides yes the load had shipped this morning and I'll be put in for a VNU.
How come only the drivers are held responsible for our actions or in actions and not anyone within a brick and mortar building at Schneider.harlycharly55, gentleroger, PoleCrusher and 2 others Thank this. -
How do you know they aren't being held responsible?drvrtech77 Thanks this.

A very valid question. Drivers have no.mechanism for seeing the results of our feedback. When the same type of problems happen repeatedly it indicates to me that there is little impact on mid level management when errors of this magnitude happen.
I believe that the person who made the error at least will.be counseled and may have other repercussions. The culture that allowed the mistake to happen in the first place is allowed to continue.
This summer I was part of the DRiver Advisory Council. Upper management seemed surprised at how upset drivers were over inaccurate load information and did not seem to grasp the scope of the problem. In.my opnion this is why drivers like Tennman and many others believe that office workers face no.comeuppance for slipshod work.PoleCrusher, mickeyrat, mickimause and 2 others Thank this. -
Sounds like an Amazon load...I see they're posting alot of them in Joliet to FTW weekly.. My last time there they loaded my load on a different trailer that was assigned so they spent 2 hours trying to find my correct trailer... The rates are good but the stress isn't worth it dealing with Amazon smh. If that was the place you're talking bout lol
