I worked for a company that used to haul Ashley Furniture out of Colton, Ca. We would haul from CA to Tx.... Either in Amarillo, Lubbock, or Midland. Very easy job and it sure paid good!! I never had a complaint about doing that job.

Got finished with orientation today, received my assigned truck right out of Arcadia 13 Volvo 780 manual with 399,100 miles still feeling salty b/c I wanted an i-shift but they didn't have any at the moment so I will keep checking in with shop this month for a vacant auto. 1st load out is to shuttle to Advance, then should be routed to Virginia to stock truck. Departed Arcadia got 72 mls down road truck throws a fault code for parked regen, so here I sit on side of road waiting for tractor to regen hopefully clears the code
trucker43 and flyingmusician Thank this. -
You won't be in it long with that many miles on it.
Could be short on trucks right now one of our new guys got assigned one we had sitting around as a loaner that got passed around when somebody had one in the shop. They're telling him he'll be in a new one fairly soon.
Maybe a blessing in disguise given the weather and the roads down here. You don't want to be down here right now. At least for a few days. NC isn't known for well maintained roads when it's sleet and freezing rain mixed with a little snow. Thankfully I pushed hard and got in last night before it started so I'm watching it from the house but did go out a little earlier just to see. Any paved surface is an ice rink.Last edited: Jan 22, 2016

They called me back the next day. My referral that just got on was called back at the end of the week he applied.
The process after that is what takes time although they are streamlining it quite a bit.
Keep your name in front of them. If you don't hear from them in a couple days after they should have received it, call them. Let them know you're interested. Keep your name fresh in their mind.
There aren't many of them working up there and they're overwhelmed with the workload they have. Don't let them forget your name loltrucker43 Thanks this. -
