I'm amazed that your body has not got it's circadian rhythm switched around in that length of time! Is it the time your body can't get used to, or the amount of hustle and physical work. And I do NOT mean any disrespect there. P&D is a hard, fast paced job.

I had no problem at all switching back. It was like I never did nights for that two years.

I think it's up to the individual. My sister in law worked nights for many years and had no problem reverting back to daytime. I talked to a guy that worked at a steel mill for 30 years on nights. I asked him how long it took him to shake it off and he said "I've been retired for 10 years and still have trouble with it". I take melatonin every night to help me fall asleep and it helps a lot. I find that if I don't I lay in bed til like 2-3 in the morning trying to go to sleep. To answe your question about p&d work. I work in a very small 3 door teminal with only 5 guys. We all work out 60 hours every week. It's tougher work than l/h but I do enjoy being off every weekend.

I've ran days on linehaul. Just can't get anything done working days. If you need to take care of any business, drivers license, Dr, dentist, etc gotta take a day off. I switched to nights and love it. I go to the gym 4 days a week. Have plenty of time to help the wife with the kids with school etc. Nights work much better for me. I used to get inspected on a regular basis and numerous overweight tickets running days. I get 0 at night plus 0 traffic. Can't beat running at night in my opinion. I don't require much sleep but I know some that claim they do for some reason or another. I simply think it's just pure laziness to sleep all day
