You can usually have a 4' overhang without permitting in most states. In this case you could hang over a couple of feet in the front (if you don't have a headboard) and 3' in the rear and should be OK. But, I would double check in the states where you plan on running.

Some states have a limit on front overhang as well. Gotta know the states you're going through.

Just took another look at the dimensions. Not knowing states I'd put 1 ft over the front and 4 to the rear. Over 4 ft off the rear is a permit in Texas to the best of my knowledge.

I am 99% sure Ohio is 3 feet over allowed....I have used 3rd party permit service girls before....they get it done quick and give good details of things allowed.

Ohio is 53' period. Anything longer is a permit load.

Not if you have a 48' trailer?? Or like my 26' flatbed?

    You can't go 53 on a 48...I don't think. You can go 3 over for 51'.

Or in my case I can go 28.6 on my 25.6 bed...
