Okay there are two sides of this... Now a computer should not be used driving down the road far as surfing the web, watching a movie ext...
    I don't agree with

Now another purpose is the computer being used as a navigation device.. no different then a Tom Tom ext...
    I do agree with

The issue I see mostly is where some of these idiots put the laptop.. I have seen them mounted to the dash??? I have see them mounted in the area the cb goes above the driver???(but a little lower blocking view of windshield) both would create a huge blind spot cause the driver would have difficulty seeing around them... this is a issue

I myself just strap ed it to my passenger seat and felt there was no need to buy a laptop table.. laptop table is a fine way as well to mount it..

Okay, now they are giving tickets to trucker correct? well hum? every cop car has a laptop in it and we all have seen them using it driving down the road.. what makes them any better? I know for a fact that I have way more drive time daily then what a cop does.. in someway that would make me more experienced then a cop... So, they are giving tickets to truck drivers so I guess I can make a citizen's arrest next time I see a cop cause he has a laptop in his car....

Have to agree here. Using the notebook to do things other than navigate is plain dangerous in my book. And even then, the navigation needs to have voice directions so the driver isn't looking at the screen AND driving at the same time.
