I have to admit, unless it was at a freightliner repair shop, many of the company shop fixes have been temporary at best, or they write "call to reschedule " on the work order. My guess is that, in order for new shop lead (non mechanic , just a dude in charge) to look good, he only allows X time per truck, per day to make it look like they just slamming them out the door.
My passenger headlamp kept blinking out when I'd hit a bump, then back on a minute later.
Shop said it was vibrations causing it. Rather than order and replace the housing for the light, it was zip tied to the hood . (2 ties to be sure!)
I took it out and the light still went out. Wrote it up again.
They replaced the connection, then,(unbeknownst to me) hex screwed the access panel down so I can't replace a burnt out bulb unless I have the right size tool.
Only reason I know about the hex screw , my light went out. I banged it and it lit up , but hit a bump and it went out.
I initially wrote it up as "rewire ".
Now I'm convinced there is a short to ground in the wiring.
    This is getting stupid.
    End rant

Sorry to hear about the issues you are having. Maybe the GM doesn't know what is going on in the shop other that what they tell him. Hope you get it resolved.

    That's my thought too.
I'm hoping for a sit down next time I'm through

I had that problem and the shop pressurized the cab to find the leak. It turned out to be in the seam running up the roof. Hopefully they use a clear sealer.

There is an old saying in aviation that when things start to go sour for a company, the first two areas that suffer are training and maintenance.

    Just sayin'...

I've had the same problem with my 2014 Pete, only it's not so much of a drip as water pouring out from somewhere up in the headliner for a second.

I've gone full circle. I was informed while I was at home that I had a new dispatcher. Ok. My 5th in 2 years.
Today, I'm informed the new dispatcher is no longer with the company, and I'm back on the board I wanted to go back to when I left the warehouse to begin with .
And I thought driver turnover was high.

You're more efficient that I am ... It's taken me 5 years to go through 5 DMs.

You have a much larger circle than I do though. I can identify nearly everyone in the office by sight . The door is open 90% of the time.
That was not my experience when I started at Swift 11 years ago

In my terminal I can ... I make it point to know every DM ... After my 2nd DM, I hand picked my other 3.
