Talked to recruitors for both sides and Its really getting down to the nitty gritty Prime gives you $200 on the road you have to pay back Earl gives you $100 Prime guarantees $700 a week while training Earl $500 a week. Prime starting pay 38 cents but if you get the lightweight you go up to 42 cents Earl starts you at 38 cents but you get the standard truck. Both allow you to take your truck home. I forgot to ask if they have APU on all there trucks. But nevertheless which company is the better option to go with?

Find out what speed they govern the trucks at. Prime is 58 on the throttle and 62 on the cruise for company trucks. It can be a PITA sometimes.

Earl Henderson new trucks arriving have refrigerators and direct tv hookups plus apu& seats that heat and cool.
The problem with lightweights is to have a decent refrigerator you have to remove the passenger seat. This puts the damper on picking up those hotties you will see hitch hiking.
Personally I'd go with Henderson. Henderson now has flatbed division also and sometimes pulls some Prime tankers.

I drive for prime and drive the lightweight. You do have to take the passenger seat out, I have a dorm fridge and microwave in mine. If you can manage driving 58 you'll get a fuel bonus every week so that could be anywhere from 2 to 4 cents extra. They do want you to maintain 7mpg here so you can't put it at 62 cruise all the time

Do you have an APU?, or can you idle as much as you want?. I know the fuel bonus thing will deter idling, but I doubt very much that I will care about 4 cents per mile when I am sweating my ### off trying to get to sleep.
