Recently laid off, looking for work in Manitoba

know someone that was on with brandt (before becoming o/o) and said kept busy not much waiting around ,said if o.o doesn't work he would go back. Speak to kleysons drivers weekly and its salt and sugar some like some looking to go when economy ever picks up. friends at penners say its ok as large companies go . Seems that a lot of redi mix/ quarry /road construction companies are not rehiring long time staff this year in MB looks like redi mix prices tanked,no #75 construction this year, grain jobs blown plenty south but squat coming back at more than fuel costs so lots o guys looking for work and taking what ever is offered at stupid c per mile! nb.. will know in a week if rehired for the season but not looking good at moment so putting out feelers myself.

 

was told of a fridge company that was hiring doing the triangle peg-texas -bc-peg 38c mile and you HAD TO DO 2 ROUNDERS before 2 days at home.......seems he had a lot of replies and put another motor on. 1990s money!!!

 

Big freight has a solid reputation. If memory serves me, didn't bison buy kleysons? What about trimac or jade transport?

 

jade ....................!!! nice trucks ,good money but heard some really weird stories about other stuff.
both times came from x drivers and near enough same stuff.mentioned.
