Wage Lock goes by your driving history over the previous two weeks. Your score card from two weeks prior determines your tier level to qualify for the guarantee. Ergo, if you haven't been assigned a truck, you can't qualify for it. (You don't get it if you're late/constantly idling/lousy fuel economy. If you do your job right they guarantee you 900/week.)

 

Okay, I got a truck in Kernersville NC. I leave tomorrow to pick it up and am already routed back here afterwards. I will be paid hourly on the bus ride (aaargh), and of course paid from the time I'm on the truck.

It's a 2015 KW T680 with an automatic. 150K miles. Fridge/inverter/idle reduction for heat and air.

Leasing didn't have anything this good available, let alone better.

I am told that if I like the truck I can lease it later when the trade cycle comes due.

Only had to sit a couple days. And The Hot Chick can crash at a friend's house til I get back.

 

Got a refund on my health insurance from Gordon for unused portion of the month, and vacation pay, so bills are not necessarily destroyed. Two pieces of good news in one day!

 

Time to start packing, although I can't really pack til tomorrow as I'm using my pillows and CPAP. Company will give me a couple boxes to put my gear in and lend me some space to keep it til I get back. I should be seated on the truck tomorrow, assuming it doesn't take eleven years to get it ready in Kernersville. Keeping fingers crossed going someone doesn't snipe the thing out from under me.
