Flatbed is HARD paysical work, local flatbed is HARDER!!! .....OTR you're securing and tapping maybe once a day if not a couple of times a week, local, your doing 2, 3 or 4 times a day!!!!!!
I did flatbed before pulling containers and I can tell you I LOVE IT!!! but I refuse to do it for less than 5K revenue per week. Right now the money is not there. I can refer you to a friend at Kiswani, he drives the white Pete 386 with the deer guard, he was doing regional and local flatbed last year and his settlements were usually the same or slightly higher than mine. NOT WORTH THE EFFORT...there's a reason why he's doing containers now......

What is a typical week on intermodal at this time of the year $1,500.00 after fuel and company deductions? Im fairly new on intermodal but i stay between 1,300 and 1,500 since November in cleveland ohio and few weeks of 1,000 or less is that normal?

Yeah you are about right push yourself a little bit more or be away from home once a week and you will see the paycheck difference
