When the LW trucks first came in they were optional. After a while they started putting most new drivers in them and it was less optional. Now it's optional again. Prime is always making changes to things.

Too many cooks spoil the pot.

Yeah. Last I knew there was a huge deposit for company drivers to bring a pet. Like 1500. They would take $50-60 from each check so you didnt need it up front. I'm not sure If that has changed.

Do they issue you a pet , and if you opt for a lightweight tractor can you have a larger pet or do you have to save weight there also?

yes pets okay. Its actually 1k deposit and you have to pay 300 first week after signing the agreement, after that it's 50 a week for 14 consecutive weeks. Also, the pet can't exceed 30 pounds (lightweight or condo), you get the 1k back as long as the trucks in normal condition. It's actually stated on the agreement that normal wear and tear is accepted.
