Keep drinking. You must have been quite dehydrated and didnt realize it. Of course when the urge finally hits, they will tell you they cant take you right then.

 

if allowed, try sticking your hand under running warm water for a minute or two. it'll be there soon.

 

I always make sure I have to go when I walk in the door.

What's really bad is when some goon is standing there eyeballing you while you fill the cup. Don't have to do that anymore thank god

 

Focus on that water cooler and coffee.

 

This happened to me one time. Got to work and used the restroom. Walk out and bossman says I need to go take a drug test. So I stopped and bought and one of those big bottles of water and drank it, but couldn't hold it in until I got to the drug testing place. Ha.

 

You have 3 hours to give the sample. If your not being watched close and can go get as large coke as you can and drink it. Do what ever you can to give that sample. This is very important because if you can't give that sample in three hours your safety dept will disqualify you on the spot. It is according to the FMCSA the same as a positive. Lets hope you can go very soon.

 

Soda pop is engineered to make you thirsty, not quench your thirst. Look at the sodium levels. The more sodium the more sugar or other sweeteners they can add. Sports drinks are the same.

Water is the key. Eat more fresh raw vegetables and fruits will also help.

A side issue with binging on water before a drug test is it may come back as a diluted sample.

 

You'd have to drink a TON of water for that to happen and it's more complicated than that.
