Just wanted to reach as many drivers as possible who may go to Anheuser-Busch LA Brewery in Van Nuys, CA.
Generally you exit with your load onto Haskell Ave except when there is a train delivery which forces you to exit where you originally entered the plant of Woodley.
On 01/05/2016, I was parked on Haskell Ave, tractor only, for my 10hrs of sleeper time. I woke up to find a ticket on my windshield and thought it was odd because the only signs posted on both sides of the street indicate NO PARKING between 10PM - 5AM. This was an hour prior to 10PM and my second thought was I was parked to close to fire hydrant, which I knew I wasn't.
It turns out I received a ticket for parking a vehicle of more than 22 ft in length for more than 3 hours. No signs are anywhere to be found on either side of the street, municipal code states that signs should be there giving people notice, but we all know how our wonderful bureaucratic system works. Make money by any means possible, right or wrong!!!
I submitted an initial review request knowing that 99% of them are denied and it was. I could continue to fight this by means of an admin hearing either by a letter and/or in person, but not prior to paying the $78.00 that the ticket cost. Another website indicates that if you pay the fine without contesting at the same time the citation is considered closed and you cannot contest your citation.
Anheuser-Busch indicates that approximately 275 shipments leave that plant on a daily basis, if only 50 trucks daily are ticketed for this same reason @ $78 a pop over a years time the city of LA receives $1,419,600.00 for this one parking citation!!!!

So pass the word on to all other truckers that you might know that go to the VAN NUYS ANHEUSER-BUSCH BREWERY - DO NOT STAY PARKED ON HASKELL AVE MORE THAN 3 HOURS!!!!

Everyone be safe and have a good day!!!!

    albert l Thanks this.

try $500.00, a attitude and a 6 hr wait on the company's approval. they had to check and see if the outfit that put wheel boot on was legit.

I.offered to pay it myself since I'm the one that made the mistake but it had to be paid by the company according to that moron.

The ticket is for $78.00, which I have no intentions of paying. I've spoken to an individual @ the company I drive for and they're in agreement signs should be and/or should have been in place giving notice regarding the time limit.

I have been going to Anheuser since June of 2014 and this is a first in regards to this type of stunt.

I've passed all the info onto my manager and a few others at the main office and they can do with it at they see fit from this point on.

I'm not paying a ticket that was unfairly given in the first place in hopes that I will get the money back after contested - we all know how that is all going to play out!!!!

I generally try to get my load and leave the area altogether. Oftentimes, I'll stay in the Walmart parking lot. The Walmart stores are clamping down on truckers staying in their lots because of the mess that's left behind or the damage that is done to the curbs, trees, etc by some rigs.

You are right $78 compared to $250 is nothing, but to me it's the way the game is played that gets under my skin the most.
I too have a $284 ticket to pay from CHP which I completely deserve because I was at fault and was not paying attention to my speedometer. Speed limit is clearly posted!!!

How fast were you going and where were you when you got the speeding ticket?
