Well I had the Biennial Terminal Inspection done today by the CHP.
I Satisfactorily passed with 2 little things on the truck.

    1. I need to put on a drain plug for the "dry tank"
    2. Replace the red lenses on the bumper guides with amber
Paper work wise, nothing major just minor fixes

    1. Sign at the bottom of my dailies (never mind that I sign at the top they said I need to sign-off when I inspect my rig as well)
    2. I had to sign and date my "Pull Notice" to acknowledge receipt
    3. Driver Road test records (FMCSA states that your CDL is proof that you were road-tested on vehicles but not CHP)
    4. Demonstrate that I am certified to authorize the drug testing program in my company although I belong to a consortium. I have to attend a class on how to run a drug program to be compliant with the CHP.
    5. Maintain records of Driver Education (Driver Proficiency and Authorized Vehicles records).
    That was pretty much it.
Anyone who is an O/O in California knows what this is about, those of you who are based elsewhere might think this is a bit extreme. :biggrin_2552:

Actually MI has a similar program but they only come around if you rack up enough points(tickets), are in a reported accident, or your OOS to inspection ratio gets to high. They also have a mock audit within the first 12 months of applying for your authority. I just went thru my mock about a month ago and they didnt look very hard but I had everything in order.
