Signal Range?

    The most common is one you can buy at most truck stops that attaches to the mirror by removing two of the screws, putting the plate and "perch" on, then reattaching the screws. It's the one I use, and while I'm not sure of my overall range, I've got mine tuned down to an SWR of 1.3 across the band.

    Peterbuilt 2005...Battery grounding an antenna doesnt do anything..Wrong type of ground..

    Voyager....Although 1.3 is a good #..All it means is that your radio is fairly safely matched to the radio..It has almost nothing to do with effectiveness, efficiency and range..
