As far as physicals go... if you passed for school, try going for a company who takes a physical that's less than 90 days old, if the paperwork on long form checks out. (It's a reason I'm going with u.s. express). No new physical or white coat syndrome!
I'm worried

Work history???? For all new drivers coming into the industry. If you have never driven As a cdl driver. You only have to show 3 years work history for first time drivers.
Only and only for commercial drivers having operated a cmv prior to applying for job driving a cmv. Must show 3 previous years verifiable work history. Plus an additional 7 years work history. Employers employing a commercial driver to operate a cmv. Must verify the previous 3 years work history.
Everybody screws this up.
What does it mean exactly.
Simple. Never had a cdl never driven a cmv under d.o.t. regs. You only have to show 3 years previous work history.
If you have operated a cmv under d.o.t. regs. And you had/have a cdl in the last 10 years. The it's required by d.o.t. regs all drivers show 10 years work history.rachi Thanks this. -
Please don't quote regulations that's not codified in the FMCSA rules. Please! There is NO 3 YEAR HISTORY OF ANY KIND IN THE REGULATIONS. It is a 10 year driving history, period. If you don't have 10 years you list what you have. There is also NO regulation about verifying employment. The FMCSA rules are very easy to find on this subject!

That being said, trucking companies can set there own requirements for employment history. And how much they want aplicants to show. But it can not be any less then what d.o.t. minimal requirements are. And they must verify at least 3 years employment history reguardless.

you've never read the top of the drivers paper application.
-
As long as they don't violate the regulations a carrier is free to ask whatever history they want. However its a CARRIER requirement NOT the FMCSA!

Because I know it is coming here is the regulation!

The best way to answer this question is this. The FMCSA requires a 10 year history of all driving jobs requiring a CDL. Most carriers will want a 3 year GENERAL employment history. However if you don't have this history list what you do have. You may be asked to sign a release so the company can verify your history. You must fill all gaps in employment and may be required by the company to provide additional information supporting your application. Different carriers may have different requirements so pay attention to the instructions on the application.

No I actually try my best to make sure these green drivers get good information to help them get started. To me it is not just right and wrong. I actually hate making these posts. But I will in a minute when I see wrong information put up or non existent regulations quoted.
