I guess the reason i look at that way is how much securment is used on the monster steel that weighs more... yeah its longer so 1 for every ten yada yada but it just feels wrong. Ifci ever start running that stuff im sure i would do it the way the rest of you guys do.....
How dangerous is this load?

I throw every chain I have at that steel.
Better to have to many than not enough. -
But the rocks not so much? See this is why i dont like the load...
-
Yes those rocks are strap killers!!!! Chains will only tear the rocks up so I usually take some felt an place it under the straps when doing those razor sharp stonesstreet beater Thanks this.
-
Why would you tarp a rock? That stone really does not move that much if at all. Take a look at this photo of the pipe I haul and see how many top pipe actually have chains through them.
The reason is that this stuff just does not move.Getsinyourblood and jacquesi23 Thank this. -
How heavy is that load?
-
I moved rocks like that and we would use steelbands to secure it to the skids and then use straps on it .
Still had quite a time keeping it secured. It could be because the truck was like this oneand had spring suspension?
