I started in March of last year and had to go out November. I was out till last Friday due to a medical condition. I had no problems as long as I was being seen by a Doctor . Its great to work for a company that wants drivers at 100%.

I've had quite a few call ins due to personal family issues, NEVER got ANY flack for it. This company actually cares about us. Get used to it, lol.

I agree with others. No need to worry. Your well being really does comes first here! I have been on LOA myself for over 6 weeks dealing with calcific tendonitis of my left shoulder rotator cuff.

Just keep your coordinator updated and let your safety department know of any medications prescribed. If you need to be out more than 3 days, your HR manager will give you paperwork for your doctor to fill out. On your 6th work day out, salary continuation (short term disability) begins paying at 75% of your ADP. If you have any paid days to use for the first 6 days, you can, but are not required to use them and can just let them go unpaid.

JT, you have got to get that way of thinking out of your head. You are not just a number here, and they honestly care about your well being, and even what you think. Even after 3 years, Rick is still surprised when his GTM comes up to him, shakes his hand, and asks him if everything is going alright, or if he has any concerns or problems. The best part is he honestly cares.

I was told during orientation that regarding the driver attendance policy that there is no policy, all they ask is that you call in at least 2 hours in advance of your gate time. I was told that we all get sick and that we have family members to care for. Of course one would be have to be a real moron to abuse it and as long as you don't you should have no worries...man I love it here!!!
