Saw this today, Feb 4, 2016 on Interstate 80 in Wyoming. Guys if you are hauling popcorn and signs say "Road Closed to All Light High Profile Vehicles", please park your truck.
Just another day in Wyoming

It's pretty sad that a few years back the state had to make this a law. Personal accountability is totally lost with the drivers of today.

Even if I was heavy, I'd still hate that wind.
White_Knuckle_Newbie, FerrissWheel and Longarm Thank this. -
This guy saw at least 3 signs (mm 311, 273, 257) - all calling to use common sense. He ignored them and here is the result.
Upright and FerrissWheel Thank this. -

When I started I didn't know what light meant. 4k in the trailer... I was doing 20mph and my arm was falling off. Mayfield or whatever truck was flying at 50-60mph and I saw the trailer lift up. I was scared to break or give gas. The driver pulled over. I think he pooped himself cause when I passed by he didn't let go off the steering wheel and kept looking straight like he seen a ghost as he sat on the shoulder. My fav weight that was is 25k-35k
Dave_in_AZ and FerrissWheel Thank this. -
I agree with self preservation, 19 out of 20 of my loads are 40-45k, so normally not a problem for me. That being said, I was rolling through Montana somewhere east of Bozeman, I got pushed onto the shoulder by an extraordinary gust. So I backed it way down and while looking for my exit, a fellow company driver blew past me like I was sitting still, I found him in a ditch about a mile later.
Idiot was empty, how he made it that far, I'll never know.White_Knuckle_Newbie and Flipflops Thank this. -
Trees don't grow in that area and if they even started, the wind would kill them pretty easily. Been bad this year.
Lepton1 and FerrissWheel Thank this.
