In fact I know it's true about year medical leave. I was off myself for almost 5 months with gall bladder, kidney failure. No talk whatsoever about loosing job. Not enough coffee this early , my brain is still a little slow.

Well, I made it through my first week with only a few minimal screw ups with OBC. Weird but good feeling to know that you have good, supportive people in the office to assist you, as well as many good drivers.

I am now on a 5/2 - 5/3 program and I don't have to switch trucks during the week anymore and I'm thrilled about it though I didn't have to do that too much I still wasn't crazy about it when I did and I love my rotating days off as well. I'm a happy camper.

I went out on a LOA after only having been with the company for 2 months back in 2013. I was out for 71 weeks. Don't worry about losing your job. Not going to happen. :)

    Get well soon. :)

Ouch! Truck driving is a thinking job, when you quit thinking, you will find trouble.

Is that 75% taxed also, we just had a remodel in the home blew a bunch of cash so it's bad timing lol but heck I'm just glad we get something, it's funny how ya see the hate on here but people looking from the outside in have no clue how well we are taken care of

Yes, it is taxed. It pays for all the days you would normally have worked.

There are a lot of great benefits offered here that very few companies offer. The 75% of ADP paid for short term disability is a HUGE benefit when situations like these arise. Like myself and others have said in the past, you have to work here to really know how different it is. Many outsiders assume it is no different here, but that is not true at all. It is nice to be working for a company that puts our well being ahead of keeping a truck moving. Sometimes these type of things happen, such as medical or personal/family. You didn't ask for a problem with your foot, nor did I ask for the calcific tendonitis in my shoulder to occur. These type medical problems are not serious, yet take a lot of time to heal. We will both be fine in due time and back rolling before you know it. In the mean time, just relax and get well. :)
