I think that might be exactly what I need to do. When I was solo I sent a message everyday letting them know where I was, when I'd be dropping ect.
The guy I'm teaming with doesn't want to do that. I think we are out of sight out of mind.

Why doesn't he want to send them? We're all out here fending for ourselves, your fm can't keep tabs on you at all times that's why the macros are crucial, also if you don't send them all (like drop trailer etc) it creates more work for him and makes you look unreliable. Also keep in mind you're dealing with night and weekend Dispatch, those guys don't care about you, it's not their job. If you want to keep running you have to send all the macros

It's his truck. I do what he says.
But not now. He says fm doesn't like to be bothered.
I don't like to be away from my family for a few hundred a week. I'm going back to the way I did it on my own.

Lol he doesn't like to be bothered wtf? You need to get off his truck asap, the guy sounds like quite a piece of work, was he your trainer? If so punch him in the nuts before you get off

Duck's on point here. Ready to reload is a macro 47 and crucial to getting in line for the next load. You don't go into the que until you send that macro, or your FM notices and asks you if you're ready to roll. The former works a whole lot faster than the latter.

    Ok good to know.
I never did them solo. Guess I was sending enough updates that my fm was paying attention.
I appreciate the help gentlemen. I knew I liked you guys.

This must be a lease operator thing.

As company, I never have to say I'm empty or send a macro. I get preplans every time and I only send a depart from 90.

What time zone was that in? Was it before your FM was in?

Too much info gets lost between shift change unless whoever is watching the board leaves a message. You could be MTY, or brokedown, or whatever and your FM won't even know what's going on, they won't always be able to see any messages that you sent prior. The system is whack.o_O

It's good to get in the habit of sending an update after shift change night/weekend so you don't get lost in the 'system'.

It seems slow to me but I also just got a new FM so I'm going to blame it on him. :)
