That's funny. Last month me and nearly 100 other drivers sat at that terminal for nearly a week waiting for loads. All I had for 6 days was a couple empty trailer moves.
The only upside was they had really good food. A local catering company was there every day with delicious home style food.

Oh yah, Joe's food is great.
Meepo77, Thanks this. -
Pilot, Junction, TX. Mac 30 coming up nothing. Called the planners in Lancaster and no help there. Guess the cleaning of the house is causing some issues. Thought that maybe they would actually help now. Guess not.

Sitting at the shipper in Dallas. Picked up a load headed to Sacramento. Set tandems at max Cali legal, and scaled. 34,780 on the tandems; 26,500 on the drives. Going anywhere else, I would have slid back a few holes and ran with it.
The shipper is closed today, soi get to wait until 5 AM to get this load reworked. I don't mind; the alternative was to wait until Tuesday. -
Inver Grove.
They pulled my truck in first thing this morning (MUCH better than on Wednesday like I was first told) and then I went upstairs for my DOT physical.
The physical went well and the truck was ready at around 1400.
When I got back in the truck I saw a message saying I had 5 days to get a bit inspection, so back in the shop it went. I was told that they were 34 trucks behind, but he would try to work me in this afternoon.
30 minutes later it was getting the inspection and I had the truck back at about 1530.
As I started to go park the truck I heard a POP and air hissing out, so back in the shop it went.
The valve to drain the air tanks had blown completely out and was laying on the ground.
I was told to pull it around back and bring it in, and he had it done around 1615.
Just as I got parked in the bt parking my sister showed up to drive me to the DMV so I could submit my physical and fill out the declaration form. At least that part worked out well.
I really feel sorry for the shop guy. All those times back in, in a single afternoon.
But I'm glad all that stuff happened right here and now. It saved me a lot of time and headache in the near future. -
Valero, Belton, TX. The nearest truck stop that could find with some parking left. Ten miles south of where mt so that I can drive back 10 miles north in the morning to pick up my whopping 330 mile load to OKC for a drop tomorrow night. A whole big 1370 mile week, after being told about all of this freight over here and of course, lets start moving me back north again.

Freight is brutal right now ... I haven't seen it this bad since Jan 11 ... then I would run 500 miles sit for 2 days, rinse and repeat.
-

What is burning me is being told before take a load to a area that do not care for, that way over booked and show up and all of a sudden nothing and planners will not pre plan me so can make sure that have a load.fr8monkey Thanks this.

Sitting here at the OKC terminal. Have a load to head back to Dallas in the morning. Guess that I have become a glorified shuttle driver. All of 200 miles. Then a 950 mile load to pick up in Dallas in the afternoon and deliver mid afternoon in Windsor, WI. on Friday for a live unload at Walgreens. Should be a long unload considering what I am taking up there, L'Oreal. Least up in IGH neck of the woods so should be able to get something decent for the weekend, depending on how long to get unloaded.
