I thought about getting in touch with an old college friend of mine who was big into all that computer stuff to have him write a virus that could be installed onto my ECM...that wouldn't affect my truck's operation, but any scanner that was plugged in to read where the speed limiter might be set. I figured it would be funny if, rather than displaying the actual setting, it would infect the scanner to read "65"...and then the next truck "64"...and the next truck "63"...and so on and so forth. What would be even better would be for the trucks scanned after mine to transmit that virus to any scanners that would be plugged into them in the future as well.
But, despite being completely harmless and fun, would probably get us in a LOT of trouble if it was ever traced back to us...so it never really got past the "wouldn't it be funny..." phase.

One of the simplest 'cheats' i have seen was a switch that would freeze the odometer. Then unplug or tin foil the Qualcomm.

You're right,It's EOBRs, Thanks for the correction.

At one point when I was looking into going O/O all the container work I looked into didn't care as long as it could pass inspection. What's hilarious is any company that tells a "contractor" how old his truck can be is in violation of IRS behavioral control and asking to be sued. Just like in the telecom industry with Comcast telling people nationwide that their trucks had to be white and making them sign "contracts" thinking it would save them... It DIDN'T! Worked out for me when I got my 12k check for "overtime".

North Korea had 1 of their satellites pass over the middle of the USA last year as a TEST.
This satellite could easily be used for a EMP attack on the USA. The pulse wave would have covered all of the US and the edges of Canada.
It would have had every plane dropping out of the sky as well as shutting down the whole Electrical Grid. Cars computers anything that has a computer in it would be use less.
The head of the CIA has great concerns about how vunerable the western hemisphere is to such a attack.
They estimated that if such a attack were to happen nearly 90% of USA would be dead in the first year. -
An EMP in space would do nothing to us, they happen in space regularly. An EMP attack would have to be within our atmosphere for it to have an effect as a weapon and even then it wouldn't take out everything in a blink like it does in the movies. Many planes have shielded systems but even the ones that don't wouldn't just fall out of the sky, having no engines doesn't mean they drop it means they need to land REAL FAST and although they could very well kill everybody in the landing, they don't just fall out of the sky. Even high altitude nukes don't create the amount of EMP that people like to think they do.taxihacker66 Thanks this.

Dropping out of the sky was a figure of speech.
In regards to your thought that the planes have a shield systems according to Mr Woolsey and Mr Pry they don't?
I didn't use the term blink of an eye. According to these " two experts" a "single nuclear weapon detonated at high altitude over the USA could have a cascading effect of blacking out the electrical grid and other life sustaing critical infrastructure." -
Haha, a emp has a limited range of efectiviness. There could not be a true cascade in the us. We are not fully intergraded as some movies would lead you to belive. There is soooo much wrong with the hypothedical that its hard to know where to begintaxihacker66 Thanks this.
