Man...no 4 Wheelers jumpin in to respond.... guess I be the first.... I have had this happen to me alot on Highway 17 (both north and south bound). I travel from Elizabeth City, NC to Navsta Norfolk. I just figured you guys had a full head of steam and did not want to loose the momentum.

I do slow down and let you pass once you get out there. I have had the flashers "flashed" at me a few times. I figure thats ya'lls way of saying thanks.

Oh... I typically do between 63-65 and the speed limit is 60 on that stretch. Sorry for not going any faster but a souped up bright red '99 Z28 tends to be a cop magnet. And like you guys... it annoys me to see someone who thinks they are saving gas by doing 50 in a 60. They are more of a hazard.

Drive safe my friends and thanks for all that you do.

That's exactly how it is. Another funny thing.....some four-wheelers try to let me pass by slowing down while going up hill. Unless I have a load of feathers, that doesn't usually work out.

That was just too funny, man. Thanks for the laugh. :biggrin_2559:

.... I also get to see all those sweet tractors when ya go by. I saw a W9 the other day with lots of chrome and what must have been 5 inch dual stacks. Very nice ride indeed.

When I drive my suburban around I do 5-10 under the limit now to save fuel. From Florida to DFW I drove about 60mph all the way and got 18+MPG in a SUBURBAN!!! Slowing down saves me alot of money.

    55 mph = 20 MPG. When was the last time you saw a 4x4 F150 get 20?

    Nice truck Brick!

Thats mine. I only do 55 in it. You'd think it would get decent mileage being a diesel and all but the C6 and 4.11 gears really kills it. Throw in a crappy exhaust and the fuel being turned up and it gobbles fuel like nuts.

But i can't complain too much, I bought the thing for $50 :biggrin_2551:

Haha. I know the feeling. Your name looks familiar. You wouldn't happen to be over on LS1TECH? Sorry for the hijack.

Thanks. Mine cost a lot more than yours but its paid for. :biggrin_25519: :biggrin_25519:
$1800 by the time I had it running and on the road.

For only $50 to buy it you still had a lot of fuel money left over. :D :D
