He will have a "Failure to appear" on his MVR. It will stay there even though he pays it. But I don't know if it counts for any points.

I had one in NC some years back... I sent the payment in, but I read an "8" as a "3", so my payment was $5 short, and got rejected... I never appeared on the court date, as I figured it was taken care of... found out afterwards where I had erred, and got a nastygram from the NC DMV, along with a threat of "indefinite suspension" of my license if I didn't pay my pound of flesh by a specified date. No points for it, though.
Although it is possible that Nevada has a different approach, as they certainly seem to IAW what's been stated here thus far.blairandgretchen and Patrick9909 Thank this. -

NC the "magic number" is 20 over or 80+ mph. got one for 15 over and have a lawyer gonna get it dropped to equip. failure. it was 55 in a 35, truck speed going down Black mtn. I was empty.
A warrant being issued as a "bench" warrant is not the same as a search and apprehend. -
So your struggling to pay a 450 dollar fine? You should have NO problem hiring on and getting into a L/P deal,, companies LOVE low resource drivers like you.get you all hooked up to a life of slavery
