My co-workers and I prank each other. Rule is that it can't be anything destructive, especially when it comes to the tools we use to make money with (in this case... uh...tools). Just stuff that causes a laugh and doesn't leave anyone feeling angry. Pranks are definitely a "know your audience" enterprise where certain lines should never be crossed.

I've had the quarter in the line done to me before.

Ive also woken up and done a pre trip to the sight of my 5th wheel release being pulled. That's not a funny prank IMO.

Furthermore, if you are in the habit of provoking people in this manner, you will eventually do it to the wrong driver. If a beatdown is the result, it will garner NO sympathy from me.

Moral of the story, DON'T mess with another driver's moneymaker.

Now, as another poster noted, if it's between friends that do it regularly and it doesn't affect the roadworthiness of the truck, no harm no foul I suppose.
