Do you have the regular Pete air-leaf susp? I do and wondered if you ever checked i to a cutoff with lockers. I don't know if for example, air trac or low air leaf housings will bolt right up to my air leaf suspension. I Come across cutoffs for somewhat cheap sometimes

I have air leafand would like to keep it that way. I been looking for every option.

So you want to lock the diff in the rear drive only, not the front at the same time. I cant imagine locking one diff without locking both at the same time. Actually I can! I had a new 01 WS C-15 18spd 46 3 switch locker rears. The dummy only locked the power divider and the rear diff. blew the inner driveshaft out on a snowy road in vermont taking out the whole abs valve when the truck had 77,000 miles on it. His reason was someone told him he didnt "need" to have them both locked in. Smoked the driveshaft and the yoke in the rear. I had to change them on the side of the road, in the freeze, in the slush!

What do you mean by saying inner driveshaft? The one connecting the front and rear diff or the thru- shaft in the front diff. There's trucks advertised all the time with the interaxle lock and a rear rear locker only.

I'm with 377pete though, I sure would like to know if I could put a rs402 locker in this 402 housing, been wondering for years with no success. 95 percent dump trailer work for the truck

Inter axle driveshaft. Once you need to lock the diff, you should lock them both. I have seen that also. Makes no sense.

Currently my truck has a smaller u joint in the interaxle shaft compared to the front driveshaft. I also wondered since there's no give on that interaxle shaft once the rear rear is locked, you would need a beefier u joint/driveshaft.

My brother had a 2000 Pete with ds/rs 405's with full lockers but I don't remember if the driveshafts were comparable to my 1994 with 402's.
