Just under 12 are you allowed to run nights and weekends also in Florida?

Nothing goes at night in FL without very special permission, escorts, and police escorts. Got it once for some local Orlando moves, but the customer didn't want to pay for the cops so we moved it during daylight. Saturday until noon for over 10'

Exactly what my thoughts were. 3 bucks a mile on anything under 12 is good money. Get over 12, then we need to get more for the escorts.

Not a good rate. Gone to Florida with 10 foot wide and it paid over 4 dollars a mile before.
Florida is a one way trip. If it was such a good rate wonder why they called me back today wanting to know
would I take it and what would it cost ?? I told them about how they acted yesterday and that I done had a load for today. Did I mention the sign is 57 foot long ?
Florida is worth 3 dollars a mile or more now and OD is worth 4 and up , daylight running only special routing , I've hauled OD loads many times and will not do them cheap.

2 over the front seven over the back. Still no escorts needed. Daylight running just means i get a good night's sleep. And is under twelve for so special routing equals the route i would of taken anyway.

And yeah, we've all gotten 4 bucks a mile. Those days are gone and its gonna be a while before they come back.

Guess why the days of good rates are gone?? People who use the same logic as you and many others do that their services are somehow worth less ? Just because fuel went down in price has nothing to do with base freight rate only the FSC but most people can't think with any reason or logic.
I amazed one of you didn't call and get this load they were at the point accepting my 2800 offer from day before.
I just didn't have time to bother with it as I have a class today to attend and my trailer is to short.
Oh, I know who the shipper is and I may ride down and talk as a direct shipper.
This company has moved through a few of the big brokers.

Thanks Glock. I saw a over 12 boat going down the highway the other night.

What is the rule in Florida for just under 10 ?

    Blanket permit?

It's like that everywhere. It's normal for everything to be a little slow this time of year but really not that slow. Election year? Recession? Depression? Those are the theories. Take your pick.

This is crazy i understand this time it is slow, but its getting worse and worse. I see trucks on the road but loads are few and rates are nonsense. How is it possible that no one knows what is really going on. Things werent like this last year or the year before and i dont remember it ever being this bad. Elections, recession, depression....that does not explain why in california there is 10 trucks to 1 load, and trucks are all over the highways could they be hauling empty? Its redicious!!!
