Some get paid layover after a certain time limit.
Punckistu Thanks this. -
Every company is different just ask them. We are $20 an hour after 2 hours
Punckistu Thanks this. -
Do you mean sitting, waiting to get dispatched for your next load? That's called "layover" pay. If you mean waiting in a dock on a shipper, that's called detention pay.
Layover pay varies by company, but many will pay $120-$150 per day that they can't get you a load. It gives the company an extra incentive to get you rolling again.
@TROOPER to TRUCKER was describing detention pay.Punckistu Thanks this. -
If you're talking about a 34 restart then you won't get paid.If you're spending 2 days a week waiting on a load it's time to find a better company
Punckistu, jammer910Z and Bob Dobalina Thank this. -
Good point. I forgot about restarts while out on the road (probably because I never had to do them). I feel for you guys out weeks at a time.

Geez I looked at it wrong. We did get the same for detention though I never had that problem. I have to find a good used laptop. Using my phone is getting old.Punckistu Thanks this.

Your travel agent is slacking. How many drivers does your travel agent find loads for and are they sitting around too?
Punckistu Thanks this. -
Surely he means paid in general. Direct deposit Driver. Remember though if in the middle of a load at end of pay day you get it next week
Punckistu Thanks this. -
Thx all for the answers!i'm new so I'm wandering also how do I 'll be paid if I have 2 or more pick ups and 2 or more drops along the way.
