Location is KEY!!
Where I live guarantees great rates...I have NO trouble doing 4k per week.
I may take a hit when leaving the northeast but I know where to step off when leaving.
So no super low rates for me..I refuse to run cheap..coming back home..that's where the real money is.
As for $2400 after expenses I agree it be done..but you have to be motivated.

And how you operate is very smart imo from what I can tell.

 

Honestly I don't care what can or can't be done. I'm sure $2400/week can happen but in my case in order for that to happen I would be living in the truck. I'll take my slightly less 4 figure average and take my 9-10 days off a month thank you very much.

I've been doing it wrong, I just drive to make my payments then Deadhead home.

My weekly average has went down but then again since Turkey day I've taken 6 weeks off plus 2 nights a week at home on the weeks I do decide to work...

The best advice I will give is find what's important in your unique situation and find a way to make it happen.

As I was once told..

If it was easy........dispatchers would drive the trucks.

Besides I didn't buy a truck to work harder and be gone from home more!!

 

Going to Denver is always good, going out sucks. I usually go home every other week. I also often fly from Indy which is very cheap.
