I'm due for orientation 2/16 to start in the restore program. Been a great thread,insightful and helpful in my journey back from a long hiatus. I hope to contribute to the thread here in the near future and be able to pass along any other information that may help someone else out.

 

The inward facing camera is not for your protection. it is there so the company has some way to try to pin liability on you, the driver. Remember, the "default" is that the driver was doing nothing wrong inside his cab.
The salespeople for these camera systems have provided the trucking companies with the same b.s. talking points to use on their drivers so they all dont just get up and quit.

 

Exactly right Ssand. I probably avg 78,000 easy. My last one was 79,600 with 1/2 tank fuel.

 

mostly irregular and varied routes...they like California. Go thru Tennesse to the Carolinas too.

 

At the yard??? Are you sure about breakdown pay at the YARD?!?
