They did explain to me that sometimes there isn't enough openings depending on the area you live in. They don't want to over crowd areas I guess. I live in the north east and they hinted that there was plenty to do up here and as long as everything checks out I should be good to go. I was just curious about how long the process takes. Like I'm sure if I applied as a company driver I would have already been in orientation, where as with this its taking longer because of all the things that are taken into account. Thanks for your response though, good to get a little more insight.

Although I personally don't work around where I live cause the money ain't great and have no need to be home. -

They checked my credit also but it didn't mean much to them. SFI was more interested in what my living expenses are and more importantly what my expectation and motivation factor was.
In other words don't tell them you plan on being home every other day and expect to clear $3000+ every week lol. -
