I've never been OD along your route so I won't pretend to tell you how many flags you need other than to say read your permits. Where I run here in the northeast I also have to flag the widest point on the load.

    Ruthless Thanks this.

The big fat paycheck from pulling that os load should make up for that.

It will make a better driver out of you. Every successful driver that I know is up at 0500. Across the board, doesn't matter what kind of trailer they pull.

An OSOW driver is running down the road waving red flags. Hes going into every scale. Many states require you to burn all your markers and headlights. If sunrise is at 0730 and he crawls out of bed at 0630, what qre the odds that he will have a productive day if he needs to take the Browns to the Superbowl, get fuel and have an electrical problem? And you still have to pre plan.

Things arent as critical at 9'6 wide like they are at 15 ft, but even so you want to be correct. I will tell you this: wben you get that load off your wagon and your bills signed, you've earned that pat on the back, and that steak dinner that you give yourself.

G13Tomcat, rank and MJ1657 Thank this.

Iowa requires flags on the front of the towing vehicle.
It will be on your permit.
They added that a few years ago.

I wish I could say that, it will be the only load I get this week... if I even get it in this week seems like mother nature is trying to prevent that. And it's supposed to deliver Tuesday.

I'm not seeing how ND is the shortest route though. But yeah, i don't think ANY one uses an actual truck route websight when planning. They all use that mapquest sight.

Just like hauling from montana over to reno westward. Trucks get screwed out of 150 miles. Yellowstone is restricted from trucks.

Yea total trip from where I was in Decatur Illinois was supposed to be 2100 miles, I've probably added a good few hundred miles. But hey I get to see montana during daylight hours so that's a plus, and mark the great state of North Dakota off my list, 2 left Rhode Island and Vermont... of the lower 48 anyways

Touching on the flashing light, if you can only find wired lights, then wire into the cluster on the rear of the trailer. It will get you by.
