Passing power is a beautiful thing.

    Stop cruising on your limiters.

Apsolutly , a while back I moved over for some incoming traffic on 75 ( 4 lane road ) in Ohio. State Trooper pulled me over and said either slow down or speed-up but don't change lanes unless you absolutely have to and sent me on my way. Caught me of guard. I know this is a completely different situations but I thought I would bring it up.

Then there are the speed racers (four-wheelers) who go to pass you on the right as soon as you move over if you don't straddle the zipper... One tried that on me today when I moved over for a construction vehicle on the shoulder (with flashing ambers).

I move over but many don't.
I broke down on I-70 near Dayton one day. 70 mph zone and I was loaded heavy and could barely get over the white line without getting in the grass.Engine just shut down....no warning.
Trucks going by about to blow me over!
Maybe one in 4 trucks moved over..
As luck had it my triangles were in the drivers side box. NO WAY I was getting out on that side!

I got out of the truck and waited in the grass for the hook and a Ohio DOT truck to put up orange barrels behind me.....

^^^ I-70 is treacherous, anyway. ((memo to self: keep triangles on passenger side from now on ~ I learned the hard way, also!))

Yea...Kinda one of those duh-huh moments.
Never really thought about it before but most trucks have them in the drivers side box....
I move them to the other side after that!

    Lepton1 and G13Tomcat Thank this.

I can lift the bunk and get to the triangles..
Yesterday on I 64 in New Albany,IN, A big truck was broke down and it looked like someone run over 2 of his triangles that he had on the shoulder.

^^^ Doesn't surprise me. Good idea under the bunk, as well. Or at least for your "extra" set of tri's. ( did you loan him your extras? )

I always move over for CMV's if / when at ALL possible, and when there's a will, there's a way. PV's however, case by case basis. Emergen's = mandatory for the most part.

Every truck I had I could get to the side boxes just by lifting the bunk, but they were Freightliners or Prostars.
No, I was going the other way and noticed the driver walking back towards the back of the trailer, maybe the thumping of hitting the triangles kept whatever from hitting the back of his trailer

    G13Tomcat Thanks this.
