Just watched Deadpool. Lots of fun. I recommend it, except for a few moments of graphic violence, nudity, and sex. THIS IS NOT A KID'S MOVIE!!!! LEAVE THE KIDS AT HOME!!!!!!

Road service says they will not pay for a hotel room since I have an Indianapolis address. When I told her we live in the truck, she spoke to me like I'm some piece of street trash and not just a regular Joe trying to get out of debt. Now I'm wondering what's going to happen since she seemed to be taking notes (mini interview ensued). Kenworth was kind enough to let us stay in the truck tonight. Going to look into getting a dorm room tomorrow. Otherwise we have to stay in the truck again. I don't mind sleeping in the truck, but we didn't leave the heat on and it was FREEZING in the thing.
I'm starting to regret leaving Gordon. I can't help my parents if I can't take care of myself. This has been about the most embarrassing day of my life.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Don't let some piss ant behind the bullet proof glass get you down.

Zoomie, not my business but I think you need to seriously consider other options for employment. If my calculations are correct (assuming you are indeed still in Indy) you have driven less than 400 miles since Thursday. In my opinion the Indy to Delaware run should have been easily "turnable", even with a 6 hour unload. Hopefully you're being compensated unload / breakdown pay for these recent events, if not it's no wonder you're financially behind the 8 ball.
I'm also hoping this isn't an industry standard and considered "part of the job". Celadon should definitely be paying you for things beyond your control.
I'm pulling for you and the Hot Chick, please continue the entertaining thread.Captain Zoom Thanks this. -
Not sure just yet what I'm going to do. Main reason I left Gordon was my parents. Turns out Celadon doesn't even have a real operating center in Hope Mills; it's just a drop yard. For this I could have stayed where I was as there is no real benefit to the move for my family. And it has been an absolute train wreck. I can't say I'm really surprised, just very disappointed. Regardless what others have said about them, I've never been sold a bill of goods this blatantly. Just my experience. And now that Risinger has spooched up my DAC, I can't just move.
I know there are some of you with "I told you so" missiles locked and loaded; go ahead and fire away--I've probably got it coming.
My options right now are extremely limited. -
I was with Crete for 18 years. They aren't what they used be, but I could make money there.
I could consistently run about 2700 miles per week. Plus they have an above average pay rate.
I was an independent contractor, so I had very little maintenance related downtime (older truck with no egr. ..plus I could service the truck when I had time and not have to sit at a terminal all day for an oil change ).
I've been off the road since 2012, but I talked to two contractor friends still there and they were running ok with no real complaints.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Also, they have terminals in Greensboro NC and Indianapolis IN. (They had those terminals in 2012 anyway ).
Dominick253 Thanks this.
