    my fan belts were awfully loose. loosened the 4 mounts,and literally touched the adjuster bolt head with the ratchet and it snapped off......

    sooo...my fan belts are still awfully loose.

    good thing its cold out.

    Grab a can of belt dressing.

    Also an easy out set if you don't have one.

    the fan won't be turning on in this weather. i'll just need to get a new tensioner bolt and put it in. shouldn't be to tough to do.

    i was in there tightening the alternator belt. saw the fan belts were loose too and thought i'd give them a quick fix too....

    Maybe use a pry bar to tension belts for now.

    can't really get in there with anything,i was thinking the same thing. it'll be alright for now. i just chuckled at how that bolt head pretty much fell off.

    20.00 bolt and the belts are tight. old bolt came out ok. just took a awhile. i coulda welded a nut on the end and reused it...
