Sage is a horrible choice for a truck driving school, it's a big rip off!!!

Andromeda973 a flamer? No offense, but please list your location that this Sage was you attended. I had a very pleasant and wonderful experience. Check out my post on it in this section. I know so many people that have had my same experience.

My opinion is there is more to the story you tell. If they did in fact say "you don't have it in you so you are kicked out" then you would have a lawsuit because that goes against the paperwork you sign before the start of the class (I have copies of all my paperwork). Just something seems a bit fishy with your tale...

lol, I once thought of Nashville just because I was trying to find less of a metropolis to raise my family in but I think once I'm done working in North Dakota in a year or two in gonna pack up and move back to Boston, or join most of my friends in LA.

I honestly thought of calling some friends, and raising some money to do a documentary on the Bakken. Fracknation was an abomination and a one sided view of the oil (fracking) scene. Who knows what the future will bring. I'm just trying to make as much money as humanly possible right now. There is, in my opinion, only one place in the USA where you can make a six figure salary in a blue collar job that helps gain worth while skills and life experience, and that place is the Bakken. We will be learning of this in the history books! I want to be a part of it! Otherwise, my housing is free, and other living expenses are very low in cost. I want my family to have everything I have had and didn't have in my life, so I'm working for this now while we are all young.

As for Taylor Swift, one of the friends I made at Sage was talking about driving the buses and rigs for bands and independent artists. Sounds like it might be the wild side of truck driving, given some of the character I know working in the scene; things get a bit crazy sometimes ;)

    @Big_D409

No offense taken, this is a forum on the internet where productive discussion is more then acceptable.

Life is a bit fishy at times from my experiences but we gotta just keep on at it. That's ok to doubt a thread on a forum. Theres always people who have had different experiences. Afterall, as you said there are many schools.

Yes, this is means for a lawsuit. As I wrote in my post above I as well as a few others in our group have incriminating documentation. What you have to understand is that I never said that "we" are not suing them. This is an assumption on your part. What you also need to realize is that these things take years. Many years, but I'm in it for the long haul. As you may have noticed, perhaps not, is all this post and rant is about is my experience and a warning to not make the same mistake I made. Sounds simple but it is a very common occurrence.

The school I attended was just closed down three months ago, the same month I was terminated. It was their Spindale, North Carolina branch.

This was really an entertaining post. Unfortunately, this guy sounds like he is a loser, a trouble-maker and a moron.

I love how he says he went to "Berklee and Harvard." Yeh, uh.. it's spelled "Berkley," Mr. Harvard genius.

And he talks about going to a truck driving "coarse." His IQ is so high that he forgot the word is spelled "COURSE."

I used to teach CDL training at a college program, and every once in a while you'd meet these kind of people who have never accomplished anything in their lives, and now realize they cannot drive a truck, either. Perpetual losers because they won't listen. They fail so often that they feel like the world is out to get them so they rant and rave on a site like this, hoping that they hurt a school that has successfully trained thousands of truck drivers. Pathetic gibberish from someone who recognizes he has amounted to nothing.

There are always going to be truck driving school students who blame everyone else for their failure. The fact is, not everyone can or should be a truck driver. And this guys sounds like he fits that category. The last thing the trucking industry needs is a self-righteous whiner who talks about suing everyone after he gets kicked out of a truck driving school for not being able to shift! Gee, you failed out of truck driving school? How did you make it through Harvard, brainiac?

I am not here to defend SAGE. From what I see on this and other sites, they don't need to be defended. The good reputation speaks for itself. But it is a shame when you get a monkey like this fool who blabs on about "class actions" and then takes "no action." I am sure if "Berklee Boy" had followed through on this he would have posted about his success. But, like most trouble-makers, they fail to follow through on anything, just like he quit the "movie business" (probably means he watched a lot of movies), failed out of a CDL school, and now what is he doing? My guess is nothing much. Great post, though! Say hi to all the alums at Harvard.

Know-it-all response from TrainerJake but he gets it all wrong. Classic internet behavior - too funny!

    Thanks for the chuckles.

Trainer Jake pretty much nailed it. I mean, he says he went to the "states Federal Court house's library" to look up the rules that regulate truck driving schools... :-/

Each state regulates their schools as they wish.
PTDI is a private non-profit organization that approves curriculum. So even is they violated PTDI standards it has no barring on state or federal regulation.

I can pick this guy's post apart in many different ways but TrainerJake did already...Sage gives our trucking company some of the better drivers out there.

I was referring only to the part of his post that I quoted. He was all types of wrong about the university names which is ironic considering the point of his reply.

I've never attended Sage so I have no opinion on whether the original poster is right or if TrainerJake is. I leave that to the SME's.
