More on Concentra and sleep study

Last time I was at Concentra it was a clusterf***. There were druggie types everywhere mixed in with laborers getting drug tested. The affirmative action "Doctor" I got was there to see if I had gone from bronchitis to pneumonia. This guy was a licensed doctor and yet he blinked at me and told me; "not to use that kind of language" when I mentioned staphylococci.

My diagnosis from that doctor was "cough" but the joke was on my company when I <strike>walked</strike> staggered into a real ER and got a diagnosis of pneumonia a week later. #### Concentra, you so stoopid.

 

Yeah unfortunately Concentra got me as well. I just went for a physical for a new company and they gave me a 3-month telling me I have to go get a sleep study when it's not a DOT requirement. They should not be allowed to do that crap as it is not required by DOT and yet they threaten your career with the 3-month certification giving you the idea that you won't be able to get your certification without this b*******

 

Just remember concentra is buried under a mountain of sleep study BS that is not required. ANY time you are handed papers to fill out about sleep, walk out before proceeding and find another doctor that does not involve sleep unless you do have actual problems with it. It helps those who can use the help. But Concentra is seen as a very large net sweeping up so many and thus is considered a very bad clinic.

 

The biggest myth is that you need it

 

If this is true, show me stats on how many people with high BP had their BP lowered by sleep apnea, how many have been cured of heart disease?
As for being tired, it’s called adulting. Pull over and take a nap.
What about people who simply get no sleep due to a mask? Are the roads safer?
Lastly, how many accidents has the FMCSA recorded since 2000 that were caused by sleep apnea?
18.. that includes rail as well as truck..
