Probably just keep kicking them til they finally break, then child latches. And the company is going to hear about it constantly til they break. I'm not paying for the latches.
I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

On the van headed to dealer. Two errands to run then back to yard. Gonna be here til tomorrow, looks like.

Back at yard. Wrote up Qualcomm, was told to "get comfortable." Was told again company will not repair latches, so I'll deal with that as best as I can (child latches and/or Velcro). Went to truck assignments to go on record as saying the latches were not working when I got the truck (didn't notice when I first moved in because they seem secure til you're moving). Was cut off and told they will not accept damage reports two weeks after I got the truck. I got him to slow his roll and freaking listen to me; after I explained my concerns, he said not to worry as the latches would not be charged to me when the truck is parked out in April or May. Only thing is to NOT drill any holes, so sticky Velcro will have to do the trick. The guy seemed surprised that I wasn't trying to put one over on the company. Guess we have some real winners here.

It is to laugh. -
Qualcomm fixed. All issues except MPG display and every cabinet and door latch taken care of. Tomorrow morning it's breakfast then see dispatch. Hoping they have a preload since finding anything empty in this yard has become impossible.

Need to find an empty, have been told there are plenty here. Somewhere.
Woke to find a few trucks had been transported in while I slept and blocked me in pretty good. Gonna have to talk to shop to get one moved so I can start my Quest For An Empty Trailer.
Well, none of this stuff is gonna do itself. Brush fangs, hit bathroom, go go go. It's a new day, a new week, The Ox is (mostly) squared away, time for a new attitude and a new beginning. Let's see what we can pull out of this week, shall we?Dominick253 Thanks this. -
sure hope the search for an empty is not prolonged

Supervisor got someone out to yard to untangle the mess. He called a local driver and had him meet me outside the gate with an empty (thereby avoiding the cluster in the yard and the checkout procedure at the guard house). I'm picking up in Belvedere IL at 2300, live, headed to Colton CA with one stop off, due Sunday afternoon. Just gotta get the trailer ABS light off and grab a couple of load locks since the local guy got the trailer washed out for me before he gave it to me. That's just over 2000 miles Sunday evening, week ends Tuesday afternoon.
Finally, some good news!
Getting lunch at Petro in Remington IN while waiting to hear back about the ABS light. Suspect they'll have me get it done right here. Guess I'll grab those load bars too.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
This Petro has a decent buffet
