Sitting outside shop for over an hour waiting to get in, trailer ABS light has been on all day. I finally get pulled in the bay--wait for it--the light is out.
They're looking for stored codes now. I doubt they're going to find anything--likely a loose wire in the trailer. I was going to tell them don't bother, but they've already touched it so Celadon is getting charged anyhow, so they might as well do the checklist and finish (hour of labor anyway).
I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Sheez, they've had it for an hour now. Gonna ask about it.
Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Unable to duplicate problem. No codes stored. These guys could have called me 45 minutes ago. Awesome service.

They waited til I got back to call Celadon for payment. Been on hold over half an hour. They couldn't call when they knew they couldn't duplicate the problem!??

Got to Americold in Belvidere IL which is near Rockford not Chicago, arrived 1930 for 2300 appointment. Got a door assignment 2030, sitting five feet from door waiting for their goon to approve the reefer and trailer. After loading I have to pull around to the back lot and wait for a phone call telling me to get my bills. Then it's off to SoCal (by way of AZ--specifically the Wal-Mart DC in Casa Grande).
It's so durn cold out here the reefer unit only runs for like twenty seconds every fifteen minutes.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Red light on the door. And nobody is coming to check my reefer and I can't back in til they do.
What gives today??Dominick253 Thanks this. -
BTW, quite jealous of your trip out west. Wish I could get those with my company, but we only go as far west as IL.Last edited: Feb 17, 2016

I hear you about reefer freight, and I'm hip about grocery warehouses--I'm whining about everything else that has gone wrong today, I guess.
Finally got the loaders to check my reefer, backed in, they're working on me now. Lying down in the sleeper to get a cat nap before they bang on my door again. Feels like they'll be done with me pretty quick at the rate they're banging around back there.
I was surprised at the west coast run, but not about to question it. Take it and RUN, before they change their minds!
I guess that does kind of make me a bit of a whiner in a way--but after the week I had and spending the whole weekend in the shop, dang it, I'm gonna indulge. A little.
Okay. I'm done now. The whiner is going to bed. Captain Zoom will return in the morning.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Night, whiner. You deserve to do it a little. Can't blame you.

That cold storage is a place where they unload and then ship out orders to different Walmart DCs. I used to unload Huisken Meat there from central mn.
