You still with them? I started last year, freight picked up after March, but dropped at the end of the year.(the usual stuff) anyway the latest news is that the owners are stepping down a new CEO is taking over and supposedly favors company drivers over o/o getting the better paying loads to keep more money in the company. Also several o/o have turned in their trucks and walked away.

Just the initial rumors I heard. I do know after the announcement yesterday about not using TA/Petro I spoke with my dispatch regarding if by since chance we were in an area with only that choice, could an exception be granted like with Georgia and Illinois. I was told pretty much it would be a no go and P&S is working towards eliminating their maintenance footprint with TA/Petro. In relation to that, I heard that is a step towards them having us do our pm's at the yard in Birmingham, which honestly, a lot of us hardly get through there and I am not making a special trip when I can find the nearest Speedco. (Hopefully Loves eventually as well)

Sounds like P&S is going the 'corporate' route. Sucks to their drivers, as that rarely works out well.

P&S has always been a pilot or loves company for fuel.
For PM work, they did prefer speedco over T/A.

Fuel in Georga and Illinois has been a call in for authorization for years. Most of the time it will be limited to 50 or 75 gallons.

Back when Mt Vernon passed the city tax on diesel fuel, they cut off all of Illinois.

One of the gripes is trailer washing. They will not pay to have any trailer washed unless you run a garbage load.

These things are not new for P&S.
